Our History

Gracepark Medical Centre was established on 14th July 2014 by a group of young doctors with the aim of offering quality medical services at affordable prices to patients within Meru, its environs and the region at large. The Hospital was first located at Stansted Building along Kenyatta Highway, with 2 consultation rooms, a dental unit and a laboratory. The Hospital mainly offered outpatient medical, dental and laboratory services as well as basic medication to its patients.

In January 2018, the Hospital relocated to Union Square Building, adjacent to Meru Main Prison, along Kenyatta Highway. The new location enabled us to increase capacity of the already existing services leading to additional services including but not limited to: outpatinet, optical, endoscopy, radiology, MCH and revamping our lab to an ulra modern lab.

In 2019, the Hospital opened a 43-bed capacity inpatient facility offering maternity care, New-Born Unit (NBU), comprehensive surgical theatre, paediatrics, male and female general wards.

More expansion and growth occurred during the period of 2020 where more consultants clinics were introduced to the outpatient department; the ambulance and emergency service was introduced. The addition of an NHIF wing was also incorporated to curb the increase in the number of patients. The inpatient wing experienced further expansion to accommadete 65 beds: 8 private wing beds, Pediatric wing with 17 beds, NBU with 5 beds, general wards with 14 beds and a Maternity Wing with 21 beds.

In the year 2022. Gracepark Medical Centre celebrated another milestone. The Corporate Wing was added to the facility. This was to cater for the insurance clients that facility service and to decongest the traffic of having only one reception to cater for the entire service of the hosital.

The Hospital opened another section in the year 2023 with the opening of 3 different units. The Oncology, dialysis and ICU units were introduced which marked another milestone that facility has achieved.
